About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and relationship-driven Event Operations Manager to support the growth and delivery of a premium VIP programme for senior professionals in the retail and technology sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a high-value stakeholder experience from end to end.


Key Responsibilities:

VIP Relationship Management

  • Serve as the main point of contact for VIPs, offering concierge-level service.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with senior retail executives.
  • Ensure VIPs receive a tailored, high-quality journey across all touchpoints.

Programme Planning & Delivery

  • Coordinate all elements of the VIP experience across flagship events and exclusive satellite gatherings.
  • Deliver bespoke event activations including dinners, networking functions, and private sessions.
  • Manage communications, follow-up, and year-round engagement strategies.

Operations & Logistics

  • Oversee end-to-end logistics including travel, registration, and hospitality.
  • Provide in-person support during events to ensure a seamless experience for all VIPs and speakers.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, venues, and internal teams to maintain service excellence.

Marketing, Advisory, & Growth

  • Collaborate with marketing to create content and campaigns that drive VIP attendance.
  • Manage the logistics and communications of a senior advisory council, using insights to inform strategy.
  • Support lead generation and work with commercial teams to expand the VIP network.
  • About the Person

    To succeed in this role, you will need to be highly organised, personable, and able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You'll be passionate about creating memorable experiences and have the professionalism to work with senior industry figures.


    Ideal Skills and Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years' experience in events, account management, client services, or customer success.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence liaising at a senior level.
    • Outstanding attention to detail and strong project management capabilities.
    • Proven ability to deliver high-quality service under pressure and tight deadlines.
    • Comfortable using CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic design/marketing platforms (e.g. Canva).
    • Understanding of the retail or B2B tech industry is a bonus, but not essential.
    • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a collaborative attitude.
