Summary The Marketing Manager will establish campaigns to promote HFF, encourage sales, build loyalty and engage through innovative strategies with partners, freelancers and stakeholders. Responsibilities include developing creative briefs, guiding creative direction and managing print and digital communications. Main Duties
Communications and Marketing Strategy – plan and deliver marketing and advertising elements to achieve ROI and impact. Plan, create and manage multi‑channel campaigns across website, print, mail, press, digital and social media. Devise unique approaches for each campaign based on budget and priorities. Ensure campaigns are executed on time, within budget, and measured against agreed targets. Present ideas and deliverables to internal and external teams and communicate with the Executive Team on programs, strategies and budgets.
Audience Insights And Development
Develop strategies to improve planning, analyse trends and behaviours. Track engagement and report on campaign success using tools such as Google Analytics and Brevo. Build target audience engagement across feeds, increase footfall for new and existing audiences. Track audience behaviours through CRM and e‑marketing.
Digital
Ensure day‑to‑day digital marketing and advertising strategy is aligned with wider activities.
Print
Manage print production and distribution, including festival programmes to raise awareness and boost sales.
Brand & Design
Apply HFF brand across all elements, ensuring templates, design and key messages are adhered to. Oversee design and commission site signage and branding requirements. Support development of fundraising presentations, bids and collateral for membership schemes.
Partnerships
Liaise with key partners and speakers to identify promotion opportunities. Support the Communications Director in partnership development and seek new marketing opportunities. Maintain professional relationships with artists, audiences, sponsors and partners.
Reporting
Provide regular reports and analysis to inform teams, board reports and funding bodies.
Other Responsibilities
Respond to general enquiries by email or telephone. Organise own work schedule and manage time. Create and maintain professional relationships with staff. Promote and comply with current legislation and HFF policies on Equality, Diversity and Health & Safety. Take positive action to promote equal opportunities. Observe organisational practices, policies, and procedures. Undertake other duties as requested. Represent the organisation at meetings and events.

Significant experience in a marketing role, devising and developing successful strategies and campaigns. Deep understanding of marketing principles, techniques and ROI measurement. Proven experience in identifying target audiences and devising engaging campaigns. Experience with CRM, e‑marketing, ticketing, sales and box office activities. Ability to provide regular reports and analysis to the Executive Team. Excellent copywriting, proofing and creative copy with a strong imagery and design aesthetic. Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills. Experience of design, artwork and the print production process. Knowledge of budget setting and daily financial management. Understanding of GDPR management and implementation. Willingness to research the latest industry thinking on digital and social media marketing, advertising and communications techniques. Passion for arts and literature.
