Exeter | £35,000-£40,000 + Benefits | 36.25 hours | Monday-Friday | Permanent My client, a top‑50 accountancy practice, is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead their marketing operations across the South West. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing professional to drive growth, deliver effective marketing initiatives, enhance brand visibility, strengthen client relationships, and support new business opportunities.
Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Marketing Manager on behalf of a leading accountancy practice. Reporting to the Strategic Marketing Group and working closely with Partners, teams, and external consultants, you will help shape and deliver the firm's marketing strategy to position them as the first choice for accounting, tax, and specialist advice.
Key Duties
Lead, shape, manage and deliver the firm's marketing strategy and activity. Develop, manage and implement targeted direct marketing campaigns. Build, manage and maintain the firm's media profile. Support and manage PR and marketing events including seminars, agricultural shows, and client engagement activities. Strengthen relationships with professional networks and referrers. Oversee the development of marketing materials including brochures, leaflets and newsletters. Work with Partners and teams to identify target clients and opportunities. Support new business lead generation and assist with initial meetings. Manage the marketing team, including communication and appraisals. Identify new service opportunities, sectors and markets for expansion. Identify opportunities within the existing client base and professional network. Collaborate with colleagues across offices to support firmwide objectives. Monitor the success of marketing campaigns to ensure value and impact. Spend time across all offices to support local marketing activity.
Requirements
Previous experience in a marketing leadership role, ideally within professional services. Experience delivering marketing campaigns, PR activity and events. CIM qualification or relevant degree desirable. Persuasive, influential and proactive stakeholder engager. Accountable, outgoing and confident leading initiatives. Highly collaborative and an excellent communicator across multi‑site teams. Positive, engaging and innovative approach. Adaptable, organised and conscientious. Comfortable working at pace and remaining composed under pressure. Ability to commute regularly across South West offices and attend events.
