We started life in Birmingham (and about half the team is still based there) but we’re now a remote-first agency with employees across the world. We’ve been in business for about 15 years and, during that time, many of our clients have been secured through word of mouth and the quality of our work. But now we want to grow even further, and this role is integral to achieving that. Our new Marketing Manager will primarily be responsible for generating marketing qualified leads that help drive business growth. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on, varied position, where you’ll be shaping our marketing presence across events, content and campaigns.OverviewResponsibilitiesDeveloping engaging content for social media, our blog, and case studies to showcase our services and successes.Working closely with our design team to bring your written content to life through impactful visuals.Enhancing the company website with content that generates leads and positions Develo as thought leaders. This means you’ll need to work alongside our SEO consultant to create copy that is both human and search-engine friendly.Creating and delivering an events programme, including managing and attending 4-6 in-person events each year initially. These events will likely be in Birmingham, but they may extend to other cities in future.Contributing to our overall marketing strategy and brand positioning.Supporting New Business Development with pitch decks, presentations, and other sales material.Who we’re looking forYou’ve probably got 3-4 years’ marketing experience. Perhaps you’re a really good Marketing Exec looking for your next step or you’re a junior Marketing Manager who wants a better culture or more ownership? Whoever you are, it’s important you’re kind. There’s no bad eggs at Develo. We need someone who will challenge the status quo but it’s important you do it with honesty, respect and understanding.A proactive doer. Strategy and planning are obviously important but, on a day-to-day basis, we need someone who will roll their sleeves up and get stuck in.Someone who is comfortable with a bit of ambiguity. We’re a small, growing team and our processes aren’t always perfect yet. We’re looking for a person who will help us fix that.B2B marketing experience, ideally within a digital agency. If you’re familiar with Magento, that would be beneficial, but it’s not the be-all and end-all.Someone who enjoys writing and has a flair for content creation.You’ll probably be more creative than commercial, but you’ll need to be able to report on results and link your work back to our commercial objectives.If this sounds like you, please get in touch.
