Ensure an effective and comprehensive marketing programme for the Proper Pubs division, encompassing strategy development, campaign execution, budget management, brand stewardship, and oversight of digital marketing initiatives. Shape and deliver the Admiral Taverns brand and digital communications strategy. Lead and develop the Proper Pubs marketing team.
Key Responsibilities
Engage with Admiral’s senior leadership team and the commercial team to develop, agree and implement Admiral’s brand, marketing and communication plans. Lead, develop and enable direct reports to achieve their objectives and realise their potential. Take primary responsibility for developing, agreeing, implementing and evaluating the consumer marketing activity plan for the Proper Pubs division, including optimal use of our consumer database and CRM facility. Work closely with the Proper Pubs leadership and operational team to ensure the marketing activity plan supports and enables the achievement of the division’s sales, profit and customer satisfaction objectives. Challenge constructively and effectively to take advantage of the evolving market in which we trade. Attract and support key suppliers in creating, supporting, funding and evaluating their marketing and brand support budgets across the Proper Pubs estate. Promote digital progression and enable colleagues and the wider Admiral basis to understand, embrace and optimise digital media and tools. Effectively manage budgets and engage with suppliers.
Skills and Experience
Experienced marketeer with excellent leadership skills. Familiar with working in a B2C environment ideally within the hospitality sector. Rigorous in ensuring effective implementation & evaluation of marketing activities and projects. Naturally consultative and mindful of taking audiences with you. An excellent communicator across all media. Experienced in successfully delivering in outlet and digital marketing. Highly motivated and ambitious to achieve objectives and continuous improvement. Commercially astute – instinctively evaluates the commercial merits of all actions. Appropriate IT skills – including software, apps & social media platforms. Experienced in planning and delivering large scale events. Aligns with and consistently demonstrates Admiral’s values.
