Main Responsibilities
Lead the long‑term strategic planning for Schwartz across Recipe Mixes, Herbs, Spices & Seasonings categories. Develop comprehensive three‑year plans for the UK. Recommend optimal investment choices to the Marketing Director. Secure approval from EMEA leadership.
Shape and manage the UK Schwartz innovation pipeline in partnership with the EMEA Growth Platform Team, ensuring a robust and sufficient staggered 3‑year plan.
Harness data, tools and market insights in close collaboration with the EMEA Insights Team to deliver business reviews, shape strategies, sharpen brand communications, inspire innovation concepts and guide packaging development.
Oversee the end‑to‑end implementation of the full Brand Plan working closely with commercial, category and shopper marketing teams to deliver flawless execution on time and in full.
Inspire and engage key customer partners through compelling presentations, refining activation plans to maximise impact for each partner.
Serve as the guardian of the Schwartz brand visual identity, ensuring consistent application of distinctive brand assets across all touchpoints.
Partner with the Global Media & Analytics Team to optimise media strategy and investment, leveraging Media Mix Modelling insights to drive ROI and strengthen long‑term brand equity.
Lead post‑activation evaluations, embedding learnings to drive continuous improvement across marketing plans.
Define product and channel pricing strategies; collaborate with Sales Planning and Category Management on assortment, promotions, customer and channel strategies.
Own the advertising budget and ensure disciplined, effective budget management.
Provide strategic and tactical coordination across cross‑functional teams (design, innovation, digital, MS&C, culinary, legal, market research, supply chain, sales and finance) to deliver business results.
Coach, mentor and develop two Brand Managers, fostering high performance, capability growth and career progression.
Candidate Profile
Relevant marketing experience.
Marketing degree preferred.
Experience from top‑level global FMCG companies with clear structure and methodologies/process.
Knowledge of UK trade preferred.
Experience in all key areas of marketing: insights, design, innovation, media & communications, brand positioning.
Strong personal, team and cross‑functional leadership skills.
Positive energy and drive, capacity to federate and lead cross‑functional teams without hierarchy link.
Excellent communication, ability to simplify the complex.
Hands‑on attitude and quick decision making.
Quick learning skills; ability to build and influence business relations.
Capacity to work in ambiguity.
