The Marketing Manager has end-to-end accountability (comms, innovation, activation, performance) for setting and leading the agenda for our biggest Youthful brands categories. You will own the development and implementation of the brand strategy, work with commercial teams to build growth plans, develop and deliver compelling and distinctive brand marketing programmes, and build brands that people talk about.Key deliverablesDirection for the Jaffa and Flipz brands, including development of yearly brand plans and long-term growth strategy with the UK&I Marketing Director.Drive the consumer agenda, leveraging consumer insights to inform short-term plans and long-term strategies.Identify growth opportunities in the targeted Demand Space for short and long-term planning; develop annual brand plans based on consumer insight and competitive landscape; deliver in-year targets and market share for specified brands/sub-brands.Understand internal capabilities and challenges; identify issues/opportunities and implement plans to deliver against them.Develop demand-centric innovation platforms and a brand pipeline, including activation plans and commercial opportunities; provide recommendations on promotional plans and pack/price architecture to sustain the business under nHFSS legislation; partner with the commercialisation team to deliver projects on time and to objectives.Be the brand guardian for the Jaffa & Flipz portfolios; coordinate marketing plans across channels (OOH, digital, social, in-store, PR, licensing) with cross-agency and internal partners; creatively differentiate from competitors.Ensure collaboration with internal and external stakeholders; act as a strategic partner for Corporate Communications on sustainability communications; manage marketing expenditure within budget and evaluate spend continuously.Line management of direct reports, mentoring and developing talent; lead cross-functional teams to deliver brand-building and sales-driving programmes.Engage and persuade colleagues to commit to key initiatives without relying on formal authority.Build strong relationships with technical development and supply chain on brand renovation projects; influence UK Leadership Team to support initiatives.Bring your experienceSound Marketing experience within Food/FMCG; able to manage a sophisticated portfolio, ideally with commercial experience across functions.Passion for consumer centricity and developing consumer-centric plans; a consumer champion who uses insight to identify opportunities.Strong understanding of the UK&I consumer and market environment.Ability to develop robust commercial plans and drive profitable growth; capable of balancing long-term growth with short-term opportunities.Track record of delivering brand strategy with regular performance reviews and remedial action when needed.Inspiring storyteller; strong teammate with the ability to influence at all levels; strong people and team development skills.Experience at Marketing Manager level; passion for brands.Interview process1st stage interview – 45 minutes competency-based, aligned with company values and your experiences.2nd stage interview – 60 minutes technical interview (case study or presentation) plus Leadership Management Assessment.Final interview with Chief Marketing Officer.pladis may use psychometric and aptitude tests as part of the process; you may be asked to complete these.
