OverviewJoin our Marketing and Communications department as the Marketing Manager (Brand and Campaigns). This newly created role will establish and promote a centre of excellence within the Marketing and Admissions directorate, developing insight-led marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and enhance student recruitment across 16-19 year Further Education, Apprenticeships, Higher Education and Adult learners. The role reports to the Director of Marketing, Communications and Admissions and leads a small team including College Marketing Officers, Website Manager and Designers. You will build the South Essex College brand through awareness campaigns and conversion programmes, turning daily college life into engaging content that resonates with our target audience. You will be highly organised, persuasive, an exceptional communicator and have the desire to excel in this newly created role.ResponsibilitiesLead on strategic brand positioning and provide operational management for multi-channel campaigns throughout the student recruitment cycle, from increasing awareness to optimising enrolment.Develop engaging content to promote facilities and courses, including PR stories, social media, video creation, publications and website content.Manage and develop a small team comprising College Marketing Officers, Website Manager and Designers.Collaborate with the Director of Marketing, Communications and Admissions to shape marketing strategy and drive transformation across the college.Monitor impact of campaigns, analyse insights and adjust activities to maximise brand awareness and recruitment outcomes.Qualifications and SkillsStrong marketing background with experience in brand development and campaign management.Proven ability to develop insight-led marketing strategies and multi-channel campaigns.Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.Highly organised with the ability to lead and develop a small team.Experience creating content across PR, social media, video, publications and website domains.Understanding of the FE sector and student recruitment would be advantageous.BenefitsHoliday - 30 days holiday per yearEmployee Assistance ProgrammePlus Bank holidays, College closure daysFree Parking Permit (subject to obtaining a parking permit)Pension - 16.2% college contributionContinued Professional DevelopmentFree breakfast at most campuses (term time only)Various other benefits available (e.g., subsidised eye tests, flu injections, cycle to work schemes, RAC discounts)ONLY APPLICATIONS MADE VIA OUR COLLEGE E-RECRUIT WEBSITE WILL BE CONSIDEREDApplication notesWe reserve the right to bring forward the closing date of the advert if we receive sufficient interest.
