OverviewAs a Marketing Executive, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting and delivering marketing activities across campaigns, digital channels, and events. The role blends hands-on execution with administration, ensuring campaigns run smoothly, systems are maintained, and the wider business gets the support it needs.You’ll be part of a collaborative marketing team, working closely with events, sales, account management, customer engagement and external agencies. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with at least 2 years of marketing experience who is comfortable managing the detail of execution but also eager to learn and grow.Please note: This position requires regular travel across the UK for events and meetings.
Key Responsibilities
Support the marketing team in delivering marketing campaigns & channel execution (HubSpot experience highly desirable)
Schedule, manage, and monitor social media content. You’ll receive a content calendar to schedule from, with the opportunity to grow into shaping and defining content over time.
Support the promotion of events through the execution of defined plans.
Attending Investors in People (IIP) events and assisting the events team with on day support.
Gather and share campaign performance data with the management team, (no requirement to provide analysis or insights).
Proof and edit marketing copy to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
Collaborate with the team to share ideas and improve the effectiveness of marketing activities.
Work with agencies and contractors to ensure an integrated and consistent approach to execution.
Triage requests from across the wider IIP team for marketing support.
Monitor and manage incoming brand and marketing requests, providing a professional and timely level of customer service to our community.
Marketing Administration
Maintain and manage marketing systems, (CRM, HubSpot, WordPress, etc) in line with the defined processes. Training will be provided.
Organise and clean up shared folders, content libraries, and documentation.
Raise purchase orders (POs), track invoices, and support budget management.
Coordinate with suppliers and external partners where necessary to ensure smooth delivery of activities.
Manage the marketing calendar and support wider team scheduling.
Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a marketing execution role, ideally with exposure to both digital and event marketing.
Some experience in managing social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X) including scheduling from a defined content calendar and working with designers to deliver assets.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage both execution tasks and admin processes.
Proactive, collaborative, and eager to take on new challenges.
Comfortable balancing day-to-day admin with hands-on marketing delivery.
Willingness and flexibility to travel across the UK for events and meetings.
Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading skills.
Confident working with multiple stakeholders across departments.
Confident using HubSpot (or similar CRM/marketing automation platforms) for integrated campaign execution.
Experience with WordPress to edit, update, and publish website content.
Comfortable learning and working across a range of tech platforms (CRM, analytics, CMS, email, ticketing tools).
Tech-savvy and naturally curious about improving systems, processes, and campaign performance.
