The Marketing Executive will be responsible for delivering effective marketing campaigns to promote a large-scale international trade exhibition and conference. Working with the wider team, they will implement campaign plans using both traditional and digital marketing techniques. The Marketing Executive will play a key role in executive activities that drive visitor, exhibitor, sponsors, and media engagement.The Marketing Executive will contribute ideas, support new initiatives and apply their B2B marketing experience to strengthen and enhance marketing activities.Key AccountabilitiesContribute to all aspects of event marketing, applying best practice techniques to deliver clear and concise promotional messages.Email marketing: Manage and schedule e-marketing campaigns for exhibitor, sponsor and visitor promotional campaigns; monitor performance, report on analytics, and apply insights to optimise future campaigns.Email marketing: Implement and manage email automation to streamline campaigns, drive higher engagement, and increase conversions.Digital marketing: Support in creating briefs for digital marketing campaigns (PPC and paid search), working closely with external agency.Website: Manage and update event website content to keep it current; leverage SEO knowledge and GA4 insights to increase traffic, enhance navigation, and support conversion goals.Data: Manage audience segmentations to target communications effectively; identify data gaps and support sourcing new data to enhance campaign performance.Social media: Manage and schedule social media content via Hootsuite, create digital assets, drive audience interaction and engagement, and report on channel growth and performance metrics.Marketing collaterals: Lead the creation, design, and production of marketing materials – including brochures, adverts, website graphics, and digital assets – to effectively promote the event to prospective exhibitors, sponsors, and visitors.Oversee marketing operations, including proofreading, delivering advertising copy, managing enquiries, and monitoring competitor activity to ensure accurate, timely and effective communications.Oversee the design and production of digital banners and ensure timely updates to event brochures.Manage the exhibitor advocacy campaign, encouraging exhibitors to actively promote their presence and invite their networks, using the marketing toolkit, including promo codes for complimentary tickets.Provide onsite support to ensure the seamless execution of marketing activities, including communications, temporary staff management, supplier management, materials placement, and photo/video capture.Job ContextThis role works closely with the sales, sponsorship, marketing and content teams to manage the marketing activities for exhibitor, sponsor and visitor promotion, including website management, email marketing, community engagement, and reporting on performance.Qualification, Experience, & SkillsMinimum Qualifications and Knowledge: Marketing qualification is advantageous.Minimum Experience: 2 years’ marketing experienceJob-Specific Skills:Strong technical skills in email and web marketingHighly analyticalExceptional attention to detailProficient in copywriting for a variety of channelsSkilled in HTML for emailExperience in the use of databases in targeted direct marketing campaignsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels internally and externallyStrong negotiation and relationship-building skillsPractice good time managementTrustworthy, professional and reliableDemonstrate good teamwork with co-workers and peersdmg events is an equal opportunity employer.
