About the Team

You would be joining a new start-up team within the established business to launch a new consumer-facing online competition product. The team will include experts across functions and will operate with support from the development team and project sponsors, acting as a small, autonomous business unit.

About this role

Marketing Automation Manager will build and execute CRM and lifecycle programmes for a new product launch. Responsibilities include creating end-to-end multi-channel campaigns to maximise initial sales, subscriptions, retention, and lifetime value. Prior Braze experience is preferred but not required.

You Will:

  • Build and execute the CRM programme for a new business with a strong product and significant advertising budget across the full customer lifecycle (onboarding, reactivation, ARPU optimisation).
  • Support in driving KPIs: engagement, retention, lifetime value, and churn reduction.
  • Deliver campaigns and lifecycle automations for key segments, including re-engagement and up-sell opportunities, to increase ARPU.
  • Refine marketing campaigns, promotions, and user journeys.
  • Demonstrate analytical mindset and understanding of customer behavior; develop predictive analytics.
  • Be a key part of a small CRM team, managing campaigns, testing, learning, segmentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Work with data analysts to identify trends, patterns and customer segments.
  • Build and scale segmentation, automation, and personalization.

Work with the product team to

  • Add features and enhancements to the website
  • Refine onboarding and returning journeys

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience creating and implementing customer engagement campaigns in retail or subscription businesses.
  • Proven track record with measurable results.
  • Experience using Braze or similar platforms to design personalised user experiences and customer engagement.
  • Desirable: experience in lotteries, online competitions, digital games, gambling, or retail subscriptions.
  • Enjoys working in a start-up environment; proactive and takes responsibility.
  • Ready to join at the start of a new enterprise with a product expected to reach tens of millions of customers.
  • Open to potential career growth with the company and investor partners.
  • Willing to use initiative and work well in a small, accountable team.
  • Hybrid working: initial in-office collaboration 3 days a week with potential for greater flexibility in the future.
