You’ll lead marketing efforts, support business development and play a key role in positioning our services with the right audiences. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who enjoys combining strategy with execution and is confident working across both new opportunities and ongoing client partnerships.Job DescriptionLead marketing activity to promote strategic communications, public affairs and political engagement servicesWork with the company directors to identify and develop new business opportunities within the property and planning sectorHelp the team build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to support retention and identify growth opportunitiesManage digital content and campaigns that reflect Marengo’s expertise and successesStrengthen brand visibility across relevant channels and audiencesWork closely with senior management to ensure marketing aligns with client needs and objectivesKeep up to date with political, policy, and sector developments to ensure our work reflects current issues and priorities for clientsMonitor the effectiveness of marketing and business activity, using insights and client feedback to improve performanceWork with the company leadership to ensure that there is appropriate representation for Marengo at events, forums, and client meetingsLead and manage Marengo events, from identifying opportunities to planning and executing initiatives that drive engagement and support business objectivesTrack competitor activity and sector trends to identify risks and opportunitiesExperience, Skills & Personal QualitiesProven experience in marketing and business development, ideally within political, community engagement, or communications sectorsSolid understanding of marketing strategy, campaign delivery and brand positioningAbility to stay informed on sector and policy developments and apply insights effectivelyStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and compelling contentConfident in working independently and seeing tasks through to completionComfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on deliveryOrganised and able to manage multiple priorities effectivelyCollaborative, with experience working with senior managementDetail-oriented with strong planning and time management skillsDemonstrates a genuine interest in community development and political engagementPreferred Qualifications & ExperienceA degree (or equivalent experience) in marketing, communications, politics or a related fieldA minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in marketing, business development or communications rolesExperience working with or alongside public sector, political or community engagement businessesExperience planning and delivering marketing campaigns across multiple channelsFamiliarity with using marketing performance data to refine and improve campaignsExperience contributing to industry events, forums, or networksTrack record of managing client relationships and improving visibility to attract new opportunitiesComfortable working with senior management to share ideas to help shape plans and directionAble to manage both planning and delivery aspects of marketing and new business activityWhat we offerWe believe our people are our biggest asset and want to see them enjoy and thrive at Marengo.
