Junior Marketing Specialist – Life Sciences / Scientific Communications We’re supporting a growing UK life sciences company that’s developing innovative technology used across pharma and biotech environments. They’re looking for a Junior Marketing Specialist to join their marketing team and help communicate complex scientific ideas in a clear, engaging way. This role would suit someone early in their career who enjoys both creative storytelling and analytical thinking — and who’s curious about how scientific innovation is marketed and communicated responsibly. Key responsibilities
Support marketing campaigns across digital, social, and email platforms. Write and edit marketing materials such as web copy, newsletters, and case studies. Work with scientists, product managers, and agencies to ensure content is accurate and on-brand. Help plan and promote events, webinars, and conferences. Update website content (CMS) and apply SEO best practices. Track campaign performance and share insights for improvement. Conduct market and competitor research across biotech, pharma, and diagnostics. Support CRM and marketing automation activities (e.g. HubSpot, Mailchimp).
About you
Degree in Marketing, Communications, Life Sciences, or a related field. Around 1–2 years’ experience in marketing or communications (internship or agency experience welcome). Strong writing and editing skills with an ability to make scientific content engaging. Well organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced team. Experience in a scientific, healthcare, or tech environment. Some knowledge of SEO or design tools (Canva, Adobe). Awareness of marketing compliance in regulated industries.
