Job Description
Head of Marketing
Location
London HQ (hybrid) or UK-remote, with occasional travel to founder meetings and industry events.
Reporting Lines
- Reports to CEO, liaising heavily with co-founder Chief Revenue Officer
- Direct Reports — None on day one; you’ll appoint and lead agencies immediately and hire the first in-house specialists within 12 months.
Company Overview
One-Move is a pre-seed prop-tech venture finalising their voice-native AI assistant that links estate-agent CRMs, conveyancers and movers. Chloe automates up to 80% of transaction admin, monitors chains in real time and rescues deals before they collapse through arranging chain-break financing.
The business’ IP was developed in 2025, and has only very recently transitioned into building out its commercial model, and you will be expected to help shape its go-to-market strategy. This opportunity offers huge potential to build your track record and wealth, but there is significant risk working with a start-up.
Counter-balancing this risk profile, there is an incredible team with significant sector and scale-up experience spearheading its roll out, i.e. very bright, highly respected professionals who have built businesses from nothing and are valued at $3bn+ currently, i.e. they’ve done it before, and they are backing themselves to do it again.
You’ll collaborate directly with three co-founders who pair deep domain insight with scale-up track records:
- Co-Founder: Product strategist with a history of launching API-driven platforms via distributed engineering teams - taken two property-software companies public (one currently valued at $3bn)
- CEO – Former COO responsible for scaling a £15bn institutional property fund (11 years) and prior to that an M&A specialist with KPMG
- CRO - estate agency veteran - over 30 years sector experience, with 18 years as a director and owner.
Fast decisions from years of experience, clear priorities and a genuine appetite for experimentation are baked in. It’s a great team, and you’d have a lot of fun working together.
Role Overview
You will be the first and most senior marketing hire, tasked with turning a blank canvas into a repeatable growth engine across:
- B2B acquisition — persuading estate-agent owners and branch teams to adopt Chloe.
- D2C pull-demand — building consumer awareness that makes agents want to be on the platform.
You’ll own strategy and execution, shape the future marketing team and influence company direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and execute a 12-month go-to-market roadmap across performance, content, partnerships and PR.
- Craft positioning and messaging that resonate with both agent decision-makers and tech-savvy movers.
- Launch and optimise demand-generation campaigns (paid social, PPC, referral schemes, trade partnerships).
- Stand up analytics and attribution; track CAC, funnel conversion and retention signals.
- Source and manage agencies for creative, media, SEO and PR; transition key skills in-house as growth allows.
- Produce product-marketing assets: demo videos, case studies, ROI tools, onboarding flows.
- Work closely with distributed engineering and product teams on feature-launch communication and CRM-integration milestones.
- Recruit, coach and develop a small in-house marketing unit as traction accelerates.
- Own the marketing budget and present ROI-backed recommendations to the founders.
Key Requirements
- 5 + years in growth or full-stack marketing, including hands-on roles in a start-up that scaled from near-zero to national visibility.
- Demonstrable success across B2B and D2C (or B2B2C) campaigns on lean budgets.
- Deep, practical knowledge of performance channels (Meta, Google, LinkedIn) and marketing-automation stacks.
- Data-savvy: comfortable building dashboards, interpreting numbers and reallocating spend fast.
- Strong copy and storytelling skills for technical products.
- Stakeholder-management skills to influence founders, agency partners and early customers.
- Right to work in the UK and ability to travel to London and key trade shows.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Prop-tech, SaaS-to-SME or marketplace background.
- Experience marketing voice- or AI-powered products.
- Familiarity with estate-agency CRMs / property portals (advantageous, not essential).
Great fit
- You’ve helped rocket a business from tens to thousands of customers and want to lead the function next.
- You’re motivated by generous equity upside rather than maximising cash today.
- Ambiguity and rapid change energise you; you treat obstacles as puzzles, not blockers.
Not a fit
- You need large teams, detailed hierarchies or corporate certainty.
- Brand-only marketers who avoid the numbers.
- Professionals who prefer low-risk, steady-state environments.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary £60–80 k (DOE).
- Substantial equity-option package aligned to company milestones - cash burn is kept deliberately lean.
- Flexible, remote-friendly working with quarterly founder off-sites.
- Pension contribution, hardware allowance and personal-development budget.
Timing & Eligibility
- Only applicants on one-month notice or already available can be considered.
- The company’s September 2025 funding timetable requires any longer-notice candidates to resign early if they wish to meet the start window.
Culture & Working Environment
The team is small and moves fast, iterate openly and value data over opinion. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with founders who combine frontline estate-agency know-how, IPO-level finance rigour and product-innovation chops. Your campaigns will translate directly into measurable traction, and your successes will define One-Move’s next chapter.
Application & Selection
Apply via the LinkedIn job post only.
Process
- CV screening.
- 30-minute introductory call with the founders to explore mutual fit.
- In-depth interview focusing on strategy, campaign examples and culture fit
We aim to complete the entire process within three weeks of your application.
