- Drive audience acquisition, lead generation, and delegate conversions in collaboration with sales and sponsorship teams.
- Manage and mentor a team of marketing generalists, working alongside in-house digital and content specialists to deliver impactful campaigns.
- Oversee campaign performance, analytics, and reporting to ensure KPIs and ROI targets are achieved.
- Collaborate with the Conference Production team to align messaging with event content and industry trends.
- Partner with the Delegate Sales team to deliver targeted campaigns that support conversion goals.
- Work with senior stakeholders across technology, data, and operations to ensure systems, processes, and insights optimise marketing outcomes.
- Lead brand development for the events portfolio, ensuring consistency, creativity, and market impact.
- Monitor competitor activity and industry best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Skills & Experience
- Proven track record in leading marketing strategies for B2B conferences, summits, or award shows (commodities sector experience highly desirable).
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing both generalists and marketing specialists.
- Demonstrable success in demand generation, audience growth, and delivering ROI through multi-channel campaigns.
- Excellent knowledge of digital marketing platforms, CRM systems, and data-led marketing.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to collaborate effectively with sales, sponsorship, and production teams.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
This role requires a senior-level events marketing expert and preference for international events company / energy or commodities background.
