Account Manager at Travel Trade Recruitment

My client, a luxury renowned brand in travel, is seeking an assertive and dynamic Head of Marketing to drive the brand’s marketing strategy and achieve ambitious sales targets. To be successful in this role you will have strong leadership, commercial acumen, and an in-depth understanding of multi-channel marketing and sales tactics.

The role in a nutshell: The role requires someone who can manage fast-moving, multi-channel campaigns, switch gears tactically when needed, and keep everything aligned with broader business goals — all whilst leading a team and supporting key growth areas like new product launches. The successful candidate should have extensive experience across marketing channels including TV, inserts, sponsorships, prospecting, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve ambitious sales targets through innovative and effective marketing strategies.
  • Develop and execute commercial and marketing tactics that drive sales growth, increase repeat bookings, and grow the customer database.
  • Manage brand positioning, product updates, and communications in collaboration with the international head office.
  • Lead key product launches, anniversaries, and milestone events with clear, consistent, and impactful communication.
  • Develop and implement a yearly strategic marketing plan designed to achieve sales targets and increase brand awareness.
  • Lead the marketing strategy across a full multi-channel mix, including offline, online, direct marketing, events, and partnerships.
  • Oversee day-to-day execution of the marketing strategy, including core marketing collateral, events, and campaigns.
  • Work closely with digital teams to align on campaigns that support overall brand objectives.
  • Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
  • Adapt marketing strategies based on performance, market trends, and competitor activity to drive sales.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of marketing plans and initiatives.
  • Influence teams to succeed by setting a high standard of excellence, attention to detail, and pragmatic decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role, ideally within luxury travel, hospitality, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies that achieve sales growth and increase brand awareness.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and working cross-functionally.
  • High level of commercial and analytical thinking, with a focus on driving results.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

This is a hybrid role in the Manchester area, not fully remote.
