Overview

My client is on the hunt for a Head of Marketing to lead strategy and audience growth for a well-established European B2B event—with exciting plans to expand into Abu Dhabi in 2026 and Singapore in 2027.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a commercially sharp, data-led marketer who loves turning insights into strategy, mentoring junior talent, and getting creative with how marketing drives revenue. You’ll be the driving force behind audience growth for the flagship Hamburg show, while helping shape the brand’s next chapter across new global markets. You’ll be joining a tight-knit team of 10 (including 4 junior marketers), working closely with a newly integrated parent company and a founder who’s still very hands-on—so relationship-building is key.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading multi-channel campaigns across digital, content, email, social, and telemarketing
  • Driving audience acquisition, engagement, and retention
  • Using data and customer insights to shape go-to-market plans
  • Owning PR, comms, and social media to build brand love
  • Partnering with sales to deliver revenue-generating campaigns
  • Managing budgets, KPIs, and reporting with strategic recommendations
  • Shaping brand messaging and positioning
  • Mentoring junior marketers and building a creative, accountable team culture
  • Building strong relationships with agencies, media partners, and stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with data protection and best practices

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years in marketing, with 3+ years in people management
  • Solid B2B event marketing experience and multi-channel campaign delivery
  • A strategic, analytical mindset—comfortable building plans from performance data
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Google Analytics, HubSpot, Salesforce, SEMrush, WordPress
  • Strong copywriting and communication skills
  • Commercial creativity—able to spot and monetise marketing opportunities
  • A collaborative, empathetic leadership style
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects while keeping the team energised

What’s In It for You

  • A strategic leadership role with real influence and room to grow
  • The chance to shape the future of a high-profile event going global
  • A fast-paced, supportive environment with a great team
  • Competitive salary + performance bonus
  • A culture that values creativity, innovation, and professional development
