About Prior Media & Marketing

At Prior Media & Marketing, our mission is to create purpose-driven marketing campaigns that spark connection, drive growth, and make your brand impossible to ignore. With over a decade of experience across the corporate, fashion, and community sectors, we combine strategic thinking with creative execution to help you clearly communicate your brand’s value, and turn that clarity into real business opportunity.

With a history of impactful storytelling, Prior Media & Marketing is built on the belief that visibility creates opportunity. The agency began with a blend of personal and professional success, from breaking barriers in pageantry to building a strong presence across Sussex’s business community and beyond. That journey shaped an approach that doesn’t just promote brands, but elevates them with purpose.

Today, Prior Media & Marketing focuses on community and business-led initiatives that inspire positive change, promote leading businesses and deliver real results. We don’t just market. We connect, we communicate, and we create lasting impressions.

The opportunity

A varied, hands‑on role for a marketer who can plan, create, publish, and analyse. You’ll split your time between Prior’s own channels and a portfolio of client accounts. You’re comfortable moving from TikTok storyboarding to a monthly GA4 report, and from live event coverage to a LinkedIn thought‑leadership post.

What you will do

  • Social & content (owned + paid)
  • Plan and run channel calendars across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and X (formerly Twitter).
  • Create short‑form video (TikTok/Reels), write post copy, and produce basic graphics (Canva/Adobe).
  • Community management: timely replies, escalation, and tone‑of‑voice consistency.
  • Test & learn on TikTok (formats, hooks, trends), building from zero to a regular cadence.
  • Content marketing
  • Draft blogs, case studies, landing pages and email newsletters; apply on‑page SEO basics.
  • Brief and manage creatives (designers, videographers) and collate assets.
  • Events
  • Analytics & reporting
  • Set up UTM tracking; manage GA4 and Looker Studio dashboards.
  • Deliver clear monthly reports with insights and recommendations, not just metrics.
  • Join client calls; keep actions and trackers up to date (Asana/Notion).
  • Maintain brand guidelines and approval processes.
  • Uphold best practice on GDPR, accessibility, and ASA/CAP advertising standards.

What good looks like (first 90 days)

  • Reliable publishing rhythm within 4 weeks (e.g. TikTok 3–5/wk; LinkedIn 3/wk; Instagram 3–4/wk).
  • Clean tracking in place (UTMs; GA4 events) and a one‑page monthly scorecard in Looker Studio.
  • Early lifts in reach/engagement, email list growth, and event‑driven enquiries—plus at least two “test & learn” experiments documented with outcomes.

Skills & experience (must‑haves)

  • 2–4+ years’ hands‑on, multi‑channel marketing experience (agency or freelance).
  • Portfolio showing short‑form video you’ve shot/edited and channels you’ve grown.
  • Strong writer/editor with a feel for UK audiences and brand tone of voice.
  • Confident with GA4, Looker Studio, UTM conventions, and basic spreadsheet analysis.
  • Comfortable on camera and with basic editing tools (e.g. CapCut, Premiere, or similar).
  • Tools familiarity: Meta Business Suite, TikTok, LinkedIn, Buffer/Hootsuite, Canva/Adobe, Google Workspace.
  • Able to commit to set days per week/month; right to work in the UK; able to invoice.

Nice to have

  • Basic paid social set‑up/optimisation; B2B LinkedIn experience.
  • Email platforms (Mailchimp/Klaviyo), CRM hygiene, and simple automation journeys.
  • SEO fundamentals (keyword research, briefs, internal linking).
  • Influencer/creator outreach and UGC briefing.
  • Basic HTML for email or landing page tweaks.

Ways of working

  • Availability: Set days agreed in advance (e.g. Tue/Thu) and/or a fixed monthly allocation.
  • Core hours: 10:00–16:00 UK (flexible).
  • Rituals: Weekly stand‑up; fortnightly sprint planning; monthly performance review.
  • Travel: Occasional UK travel for shoots, events and meetings (expenses covered when pre‑approved).

Pay & terms

  • Day rate TBC based on experience and scope. Invoiced monthly; initial 6‑month contract with option to extend.

How to apply

Please send:

  • CV (max 2 pages) and a short note on availability (days/week or days/month).
  • Links to 2–3 channels you’ve directly managed (what you owned + results).
  • A Looker Studio/GA4 report you’ve created (redact sensitive data if needed).
  • A 60‑second TikTok/Reel introducing yourself and pitching one content idea for Prior’s TikTok.

Equal opportunities: We welcome applications from all backgrounds and do not discriminate on the basis of age, disability, gender identity, marital or parental status, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation. Adjustments available throughout the process.
