Digital Marketing Lead – Paid Media and SEO
Join RSPB as a strategic Digital Marketing Lead to drive paid media and SEO across digital channels. The role works closely with media agency, internal teams to maximise income, brand reach and campaign effectiveness.
Base Pay Range
Permanent, Full-time, 37.5 hrs per week, flexible in UK.

Key Responsibilities
Keep close to industry developments to create and evolve paid media strategy supporting income generation and brand growth.
Produce a 12‑month annual plan with detailed calendar to track paid media activity.
Plan, execute and optimise paid media campaigns.
Translate marketing and business objectives into actionable briefs.
Review campaigns during development to ensure on‑brand, targeted and aligned to goals.
Lead paid media governance, including DPIAs, compliance.
Monitor and report performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.
Manage budgets, ensuring efficient allocation across channels.
Align messaging, creative, audience targeting with stakeholders.
Support Head of Marketing Operations through better tooling, processes and performance analysis.
Educate internal teams on paid media best practices.
Manage SEO agency relationship, ensuring alignment with paid media and broader goals.
Oversee SEO strategy and technical recommendations supporting organic growth.
Implement SEO recommendations and track progress.
Monitor SEO performance metrics, report and insights.
Requirements
Proven paid media strategy and execution experience, ideally in complex organisation or agency setting.
Strong understanding of digital advertising platforms (Google Ads, Meta etc).
Confident managing agency relationships and internal stakeholders.
Familiar with GDPR, DPIAs, marketing compliance regulations.
Analytical mindset with experience in campaign reporting and optimisation.
Excellent communication and briefing skills.
Comfortable working cross‑functionally with marketing, legal, finance and tech teams.
Experience managing SEO strategy and/or working with SEO agencies to deliver measurable improvements.
Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals and current trends, technical, content optimisation, keyword strategy.
Able to balance long‑term organic growth with short‑term paid media goals in a cohesive digital strategy.

This is a Full‑Time / Permanent position, 37.5 hrs per week, flexible in UK.
