Pension Scheme, Life Assurance Scheme, 34 days annual leave (incl. bank holidays) Were looking for a strategic and hands-on Digital Marketing Lead to focus on our paid media and SEO efforts across digital channels. The role will work closely with our media agency and internal teams to drive income, brand reach, and campaign effectiveness. Youll be the go-to expert for paid media strategy, translating organisational objectives into actionable briefs, managing day-to-day agency relationships, and ensuring campaigns are compliant, data-driven, and impactful. Youll be working on innovative campaigns to reach new audiences, help generate income for conservation and inspire people to campaign for nature. This is a varied role with the potential to make a significant contribution towards the RSPBs vision for a world where wildlife, wild places, and all people thrive. Key Responsibilities Keep close to industry developments to create and evolve our paid media strategy to support income generation and brand growth. Work with our agency to produce a 12 month annual plan with detailed calendar to track paid media activity against audiences. Collaborate with our media agency to plan, execute, and optimise paid media campaigns. Translate marketing and business objectives into clear, actionable briefs for internal and external teams. Review paid media campaigns during development to ensure they are on brand, audiences are effectively targeted and campaigns are aligned to broader goals. Lead on paid media governance, including data protection impact assessments (DPIAs and legal/risk compliance). Monitor and report on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Manage paid media budgets and ensure efficient allocation across channels. Work with internal stakeholders to align messaging, creative, and audience targeting. Support the Head of Marketing Operations in improving marketing effectiveness through better tooling, processes, and performance analysis. Educate and upskill internal teams on paid media best practices and opportunities. Manage the relationship with our SEO agency, ensuring alignment with paid media and broader marketing goals. Oversee the delivery of SEO strategies and technical recommendations, ensuring they support organic growth and content performance. Coordinate with internal teams to implement SEO recommendations and track progress. Monitor SEO performance metrics and provide regular reporting and insights. Requirements Proven experience in paid media strategy and execution, ideally within a complex organisation or agency setting. Strong understanding of digital advertising platforms (Google Ads, Meta etc) Confident managing agency relationships and internal stakeholders. Able to build relationships to collaborate and influence with multiple stakeholders. Familiar with GDPR, DPIAs, and marketing compliance regulations. Analytical mindset with experience in campaign reporting and optimisation. Excellent communication and briefing skills. Comfortable working cross-functionally with marketing, legal, finance, and tech teams. Experience managing SEO strategy and/or working with SEO agencies to deliver measurable improvements in organic performance. Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals and current trends, including technical SEO, content optimisation, and keyword strategy. Able to balance long-term organic growth with short-term paid media goals in a cohesive digital strategy.
