At VEED, our mission is to make video creation accessible to anyone. No hard‑to‑use equipment, painful learning curve, or juggling multiple subscriptions—just a single tool that lets you take your ideas from record to share.
Where and how we work
We are hybrid, enabling teams and individuals to design their day and integrate work and life. For our London, Amsterdam, and Barcelona teammates we request 3 days a week in the office during the first six months, then 1 day a week, with flexibility to choose the best day.
About the role
We’re looking for a Creative Director to elevate and unify VEED’s visual identity across product and marketing, so every touchpoint feels bold, cohesive, and unmistakably VEED. You’ll lead a small team of brand and motion designers, working closely with our CEO, product designers, and marketing team to own how VEED shows up in the world: UI, campaigns, templates, and all visual touchpoints.
What you’ll be doing
Brand Leadership: Define and evolve VEED’s brand identity, ensuring visual consistency across all channels and customer touchpoints.
Creative Direction: Oversee the conceptualization and execution for everything users and customers see; from marketing campaigns (web, social, events, brand assets) to product UI (motion, layout, visual language), to in‑product templates and content that help creators make the best‑looking videos on the internet.
Team Management: Build, lead, and mentor a talented team of designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Product, Growth, and Content teams to bring our brand to life at every step of the user journey.
Design Excellence: Ensure world‑class execution with a deep love for the craft, ensuring every brand touchpoint meets the highest standards of creativity, detail, and visual impact.
Influence & Advocacy: Champion brand design across VEED, aligning it with business goals, influencing stakeholders, and acting as a brand guardian to ensure consistency, clarity, and creative ambition in everything we put out into the world.
Operational Efficiency: Establish scalable design processes, workflows, and tools, leveraging AI where it adds value, to enhance efficiency and collaboration across teams.
Next‑Gen AI Fluency: You see AI not as a shortcut, but as a creative amplifier. We’re looking for a leader who’s deeply curious about AI’s evolving role in design, and can use its potential to streamline workflows, accelerate production, and unlock new levels of creativity across the team.
AI‑Driven Content & Experimentation: Leverage the latest AI video generation tools and trends to empower creators, marketers, and small businesses to produce, repurpose, and scale video content. Stay ahead of what’s possible—prompting, editing, storytelling—so VEED remains at the forefront of next‑gen content creation.
About you
You’re an experienced brand or creative design leader with 5+ years of experience, a sharp eye, strong taste, and a portfolio full of visually impactful work.
You have experience working in a fast‑paced startup or SaaS environment, ideally with AI‑powered products.
You’ve led design teams before and know how to balance direction, hands‑on collaboration, and space for your team to thrive.
You’re fluent in both product and marketing environments; just as comfortable evolving UI design systems as you are crafting bold campaign visuals.
You’re obsessed with video as a medium and have examples of video work; whether brand, motion, or social, that show you know what good looks like.
You’re confident partnering directly with the CEO and other senior stakeholders, shaping a visual direction that aligns with company vision and drives brand impact.
You’re energized by storytelling and know how to turn ideas into compelling visual systems that inspire, connect, and bring others along with your vision.
You care deeply about consistency, detail, and craft; but know when to go lo‑fi to test an idea fast.
You’re proactive, collaborative, and love working across disciplines to create something bigger than the sum of its parts.
You have a natural spark that brings energy and momentum to creative projects.
