Corporate Communications Manager

The Corporate Communications Manager will lead Willis Re’s external, internal, and corporate social media communications. This role is responsible for shaping and safeguarding the firm’s corporate narrative, building visibility in the global reinsurance market, and driving employee engagement. The remit combines media relations, internal communications, corporate social media management, issues/crisis planning, and brand activation to strengthen Willis Re’s reputation.
Responsibilities
Designing and executing an integrated communications programme spanning corporate-owned channels (media, internal comms, organic social).
Building strong relationships with tier-one and trade journalists, industry analysts, and influencers.
Driving proactive communications campaigns tied to business priorities, reports, and key industry events such as RVS Monte Carlo, Baden-Baden, APCIA, and other reinsurance conferences.
Leading internal communications strategy to inform, engage, and inspire colleagues globally.
Owning Willis Re’s corporate social media channels (LinkedIn, YouTube, X) — ensuring alignment with brand voice and narrative.
Managing brand activations that enhance Willis Re’s credibility and reputation (executive visibility, thought-leadership campaigns, conference communications).
About You
Lead media relations: press releases, journalist briefings, commentary placement, and monitoring.
Own Willis Re’s corporate social media accounts, setting governance, tone of voice, and publishing organic content (with Marketing input on paid/targeted campaigns).
Develop and deliver internal communications (leadership updates, campaigns, town halls, newsletters, intranet) that support strategy, culture, and change management.
Shape Willis Re’s corporate narrative, ensuring consistency across all external, internal, and social communications.
Create reputation-focused brand activations at industry milestones (executive speaking platforms, media interviews, thought-leadership distribution).
Draft executive speeches, op-eds, Q&As, and key messaging documents.
Develop and maintain issues and crisis communication plans; lead scenario planning and spokesperson preparation.
Manage PR and communications agencies to deliver effective, measurable programmes.
Provide reporting and analysis on media quality, social reach, share of voice, and employee engagement metrics.
