Role Summary:
The Channel Marketing Specialist/Coordinator is a pivotal, hands-on role responsible for creating and executing marketing campaigns to drive new sales opportunities and channel growth within GTT's Wholesale, Carrier, and Managed Service Provider (MSP) segments. This role is focused on tactical execution, lead generation, and performance tracking across a variety of marketing channels.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Creation & Execution (Primary Focus)
Generate Pipeline: Execute a calendar of marketing programs with the primary goal of identifying and driving new channel prospects and opportunities for the Wholesale, Carrier, and MSP teams.
Multi-Channel Activity: Launch and manage core elements of demand generation campaigns, including:
Email Marketing: Coordinate the creation, segmentation, and deployment of email campaigns to channel partners and prospect databases.
Digital: Support digital campaign activity, including assisting with basic social media posts and partner website updates.
Webinars: Plan and execute logistics for partner-facing and end-user webinars.
Partner Collaboration: Execute co-marketing programs with key technology partners to leverage joint solutions and expand market reach.
Event & Lead Management
Events Coordination: Handle all logistics for participation in industry trade shows and channel-specific events, including managing registration, materials, shipping, and ensuring lead capture processes are in place.
Lead Tracking & Handoff: Ensure all leads from campaigns, events, and digital activities are accurately tracked, qualified, and efficiently passed to the appropriate Channel Sales team members via the CRM system.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
Measure Effectiveness: Own the process for tracking and reporting on campaign success metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, lead volume, and basic conversion rates.
Analysis Support: Assist the Channel Marketing Manager or Sales leadership in preparing weekly and monthly performance reports, providing data on marketing contribution to channel pipeline.
Required Experience/Qualifications:
Experience: 2 years+ experience in a Marketing, Sales Support, or Channel-focused environment.
Campaign Execution: Basic understanding of marketing campaign mechanics (e.g., email deployment, lead flow, event promotion).
Technical Skills: Proficient with essential business tools, including:
CRM (e.g., Dynamics, Marketo and SPLASH): Experience with basic lead management and reporting within a CRM is preferred.
Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel/Google Sheets for data tracking).
Soft Skills:
A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a focus on hitting lead generation targets.
Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with both internal sales teams and external partners.
