Description
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Category Development & Trade Marketing Manager to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. This role in the Away From Home business focuses on generating opportunities with National Wholesalers and Cash & Carry within our Route-to-Market channel.
The role combines Category Development responsibilities—such as providing range, display, and RGM strategies externally—and Trade Marketing responsibilities—such as executing brand activations and B2B initiatives aimed at independent operators. It requires a customer-centric mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders through data insights. Significant external engagement with wholesale customers is expected, alongside internal strategy creation and stakeholder management.
What you’ll do:
- Lead category insights for customers like Bidfood, Booker, and Brakes, with secondary focus on regional wholesale buying groups.
- Coordinate between core brand plans and RTM trade marketing plans.
- Develop materials and tools for sales execution in trade.
- Lead execution of JBP-invested branded activations in RTM.
- Manage category data, insights, and RGM evaluations.
What you’ll need:
Education & Experience
- 5+ years in Sales, Category Development, or Trade Marketing.
- 3+ years managing teams or agencies.
- Deep knowledge of food & beverage dynamics in AFH channels.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Strong data analytics skills; familiar with tools like Circana.
- Understanding operator behavior and translating marketing plans into trade plans.
Professional Attributes
- Commercial acumen with strong analytical skills.
- Leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Focus on execution excellence.
- Data-driven decision-making.
- Customer-centric mindset for building relationships with wholesalers and operators.

- Flexible, hybrid working including options to work abroad.
- Inclusive environment with leadership support.
- Private medical and digital GP.
- Parental leave, nursery schemes, and employee discounts.
- Volunteer days, extra holidays, gym discounts, and cycle schemes.
- Location:

- Salary:
- £100,000 - £125,000
