What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an experienced client/account manager with a proven track record of delivering success to clients, focusing on retention and upselling. We promote a culture of work-life balance, encouraging staff not to work late, take time back in lieu, and participate in a 9-day fortnight work pattern.
Responsibilities include:
- Building client relationships: Know your clients deeply, from financial calendars to internal org structures, and personal milestones. Understand what success looks like for them and translate that to your SEO strategist to deliver results that support retention and upselling.
- Leading delivery teams: Coordinate all delivery teams to meet client needs, ensuring satisfaction and retention. Galvanize teams to deliver according to client expectations.
- Managing commercials: Monitor renewal dates, create campaigns around renewal, and develop reports and projections to encourage continued or increased budgets. Collaborate with SEO strategists on upselling campaigns.
- Project management: Prioritize workloads based on client value, manage expectations, and keep projects within scope.
- Leading direct reports: Lead client executives, support their development, and foster a positive team environment focused on wellbeing and growth.
Our structure involves a trifecta of stakeholders: client/account managers, project managers, and SEO strategists, working cohesively to maintain performance and client satisfaction.
We separate clients into pods of up to 10, each led by a client/account manager and supported by client executives and SEO strategists.
Requirements
Skills required include:
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of growing accounts
- At least 3 years' experience as a client/account manager in a digital marketing or SEO agency
- Experience with project management tools (preferably Asana)
- Knowledge of SEO or digital marketing
- Team management experience
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to handle pressure and juggle multiple clients and deadlines

Additional Requirements
Proven track record in client retention and revenue growth within a digital marketing or SEO agency. 5+ years of experience in client services, account management, or sales. Strong commercial mindset, budget management, and team leadership skills. Familiarity with SEO and digital marketing strategies, with a focus on ROI. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
