What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an experienced client/account manager who has a proven track record for delivering success to clients with an emphasis on retention and upselling. We promote a culture of work-life balance where we encourage staff not to work late, take time back in lieu if they need, and have the option of participating in a 9-day fortnight work pattern (every other Friday off, paid).
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Building client relationships: Know everything about your clients, from their financial calendar to internal org structure, and personal details like birthdays and anniversaries.
- Understanding what success looks like for your clients and translating that effectively to your SEO strategist to deliver results that aid retention and upselling.
- Leading our delivery teams: Coordinate all delivery teams to meet client needs, ensuring client satisfaction and retention, galvanizing teams to deliver according to expectations.
- Managing commercials: Keep track of renewal dates, create campaigns, performance reports, and growth projections to encourage renewals and upsells.
- Project management: Prioritize workloads based on client value, manage expectations, and ensure projects stay within scope.
- Leading direct reports: Lead client executives, support their work, and foster a positive, balanced team environment with professional development plans.
Company structure: Our client/account managers collaborate with project managers and SEO strategists within dedicated pods, each managing up to 10 clients.
Requirements
Skills required for the role include:
- Great commercial acumen with a proven track record of growing accounts.
- At least 3 years of experience as a client/account manager in a digital marketing or SEO agency.
- Experience with project management tools (preferably Asana).
- SEO or digital marketing experience.
- Experience managing a team.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Calm under pressure and able to juggle multiple clients and deadlines.
